The Attenders
bring you traditional music with the modern person's
point of view. We're a little bit lost in time. Our music tries to find
a sense of place, even if it's a sense of what places we need to escape
from...
The Attenders show up in real and imaginary places, such as IKEA and
Bummerville (you decide which one is real). Their performances have
taken place in such places as at Cody's Books, the San Francisco Folk
Music Club's Hootenanny Night, and the Oakland Museum (no, they weren't
an exhibit). They also are among the few artists who have ever
performed for a creek. Baxter Creek. Okay, there were people there, too
(the Friends of Baxter Creek). In addition, they have also had the
unique honor of playing American folk music for a Chinese New Year
celebration.
Until recently, the Attenders thought burning a CD was an act of civil disobedience.
